The Kano state government, through the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, has kicked off the evacuation of beggars and hawkers from the streets.
In her remarks, the Commisioner Dr Zahra Muhammad stated that the evacuation operation will be an ongoing operation with no stop date.
Also, the evacuees would be empowered with various small scale businesses and will be repatriated to their various homes.
