Kaduna govt says no decision on school resumption yet

The Kaduna State Ministry of Education has said that it is still assessing the Covid-19 situation and therefore yet to decide on the date for school resumption.

Phoebe Sukai Yayi said this on Friday in a statement, for the permanent secretary, Kaduna State Ministry of Education.

“The attention of the Kaduna State Ministry of Education has been drawn to a statement purporting that the state Government has approved Monday 18 January 2021 as an official resumption date for Primary and Secondary Schools as well as Higher Institutions of learning.

“The Ministry is informing the public that the news is FAKE and MISCHIEVOUS as the Kaduna State Government is yet to make any announcement on that.

“The State Government is assessing the Covid-19 pandemic with keen interest and will issue statement when it deems fit and safe for students to resume.

“Meanwhile, the public is hereby enjoined to disregard the purported statement,” the statement said.
