Kadafur unveils 30-bed Primary Healthcare Centre in Maiduguri

The Deputy Governor of Borno State Umar Usman Kadafur, alongside Professor Isa Marte Hussaini Chief of Staff to Executive Governor of Borno State, on Friday, officially unveiled the Primary Health Centre, Goni Damgari a suburb of Maiduguri.

Goni Damgari Primary Healthcare Centre contains 30 bed capacity with staffs accommodation, fully equipped with Solar power of 10kva and water supply.

The Deputy Governor was received and Briefed by the Commissioner Ministry for Health and Human services, Comr Juliana Bitrus, supported by the Executive Chairman of Maiduguri Metropolitan Council, Hon. Ali Bolori.

Shortly after the official commissioning, Comr Juliana while going round the centre said Goni Damgari Primary Health Clinic is one of the 17th primary Healthcare Centres Built for the program of saving one million lives in the State.

The Representative of the community, Hon. El-lawan Mustapha said while presenting a gift on behalf of his community “We thanked the Executive Governor of Borno State, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum for providing us with a dividend of Democracy, Goni Damgari Community is here to present a bull as Mark respect and appreciation”.

While responding the Deputy Governor said, on behalf His Excellency Prof Babagana Umara Zulum congratulated the people of the community, for the Healthcare Build in their Community, He also urged the head of the centre to utilise the centre for the benefit of the community.

The Deputy Governor also added that Governor Zulum’s administration will provide basic Primary Healthcare Services to the people of Borno State. He also thanked the community members that presented a bull as mark of appreciation for the Governor for what he has done for their community.

On that note the Deputy Governor expressed his gratitude and appreciation to Health volunteers for their sacrifices, said government will look in their welfare and very soon smile will be on their faces.

On the entourage are the Deputy Chief of Staff, Members of the State Executive Council, SSA and SA among others.
