Jangebe abduction: APC government has failed to protect lives, property – Ganduje’s aide

The outspoken media assistant to Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has taken a swipe at the APC, accusing its members holding leadership positions in the country of failing to protect lives and property.

Salihu Tanko Yakasai took to his verified Twitter handle Friday morning to criticize the leaders and call for their resignation following the news of abduction of schoolgirls in Zamfara State.

“Clearly, we as APC government, at all levels, have failed Nigerians in the number 1 duty we were elected to do which is to secure lives and properties,” he said in the tweet.

The aide, who is not strange to controversies, observed that “Not a single day goes by without some sort of insecurity in this land. This is a shame! Deal with terrorists decisively or resign.”

Yakasai was suspended from his position last year after criticizing President Muhammadu Buhari’s handling of the #ENDSARS protests.

Armed bandits Thursday night raided dormitories of Government Girls Secondary School, Jangebe, in Zamafara State, taking away hundreds of students, according to reports.

The incident happened at a time efforts are still on to secure the release of about 50 students kidnapped about two weeks ago from a secondary school in Kagara, Niger State.
