Ramatu said “we have been loyal to Senator Bala Mohammed as our governor and PDP as our party since from the beginning, but when it comes to the issue of economic empowerment; nobody considers us”.

“We know the state government is trying when it comes to empowering youth and women as many have benefited from one empowerment programme or the other. We want our members to be included in all initiatives and programs meant to have value on the lives of people in the state,” she said.

According to her, Fulani have thousands of supporters in every local government that need to be empowered to be self-reliant.

Ramatu said she believes in the efforts of the governor to always lead with fairness and equity and they have hope he will listen to their complain and will be just to them.

She appealed to the people submitting the names of the beneficiaries to the governor to remember that Fulani have families to take care of, their children are there without education and job to do.

“We struggle every day to survive. We need special consideration”, Ramatu said, even as she appealed to the authorities concerned to look into their plights with a view to ameliorating them.

Bauchi government earmarked between N50 and N75 million items for distribution in each local government of the state, including cars, tricycles, motorcycles, sewing machines, grinding machines, cash and many other things to beneficiaries under the programme “Kyan Alkawari Cikawa”, “Kaura Youth, Women Economic Empowerment Initiative”.
