The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mohammed Adamu has ordered the arrest of Nigerian actress Rahama Sadau.
This followed a complaint lodged against her by a rights activist who accused her of posting pictures that led to blasphemy against Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W).
According to the BBC Hausa, Rahama Sadau is working to assemble her own team of lawyers that will accompany her to the police.
Human Rights activist Alhaji Lawal Mohammed Gusau sent a petition to the IGP accusing Rahama of blasphemy.
The activist said the blasphemy can kead to a breakdown of law and order, adding that already some ulama are threatening to take action.
He reminded the IGP of the protest in Kano against the President of France for justifying and defending the caricature of the prophet.
Dateline Nigeria reports that Rahama Sadau has since condemned the comment which was made under the photos she shared on twitter. She has also deleted the photos.
