The Inspector General of Police Mohammed Adamu has decorated his Principal Staff Officer (PSO) Idowu Owohunwa and the Force Education Officer, Rabi Umar, with their new ranks.
Owohunwa and Rabi are now commissioners of police.
Also decorated on Thursday at the Force Headquarters, Abuja are Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Adegbite Tunde Titus, ACP Chinonyerem Lawrence Welle and the Personal Assistant to the Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), DSP Aderoju Olagunju amongst others.
The officers decorated are part of the newly promoted by the Police Service Commission.
Dateline Nigeria reports that this is coming on the same day President Muhammadu Buhari extended the tenure of the IGP by three months.
