A Federal High Court in Abuja has dismissed charges of fraud against former Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service Abdullahi Dikko Inde.
This followed an application by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) to withdraw the charges against the former Customs boss.
Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu subsequently dismissed the charges.
Dikko was facing charges of fraud along with former Assistant Comptroller General of Customs (Finance & Administration) Garba Makarfi, and a lawyer Umar Hussaini.
ICPC lawyer Ebenezer Shogunle had informed the judge on Wednesday that the anti’-graft body was unable to arrest Dikko despite the warrant issued against him.
