ICPC gives breakdown of recoveries in 2019

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Crimes Commission (ICPC) has said that it has recovered assets worth N77.04 billion in 2019.

The spokesperson of ICPC Rasheedat Okoduwa, who gave the breakdown of the recoveries at a press briefing in Abuja, said part of the recovery included N1.16 billion cash paid into the Treasury Single Account (TSA).

Others, she said, are N32.03 billion in lands, buildings, and vehicles; N41.98 in monies restrained while reviewing accounts of Ministries, agencies, and departments.

Okoduwa added that N0.767bn was recovered in properties from constituency projects tracking and N1.097 billion recovered from completed project value for constituency projects.

She said 424 projects were tracked in the constituency projects tracking initiative in 2019 and it is expected that in 2020, more constituencies would be covered in the programme. She said commission conducted 510 sensitisations.
