Ganduje’s aide decries Buhari’s ‘lack of empathy’

Salihu Tanko Yakasai, a Senior Special Assistant to Kano State Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje on Media, has decried what he referred to as the ‘I don’t care attitude’ of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Commenting via his verified Twitter account, Yakasai said he has never seen “a government with zero empathy like that of President Muhammadu Buhari.”

“So many times when his people are going through a difficult time and expect some sort of tap on shoulder to reassure them that he is in charge, but he failed to do so.”

“The ‘I don’t care attitude’ is on another level,” Yakasai, popularly known as Dawisu, on twitter, posted on the social media platform.

Yakasai, named after his Second Republic politician father, added that Buhari’s failure to speak to Nigerians over issues bedevilling gives the impression that the president is doing Nigerians a favor.”

Yakasai said it’s heartbreaking that after going to all the 36 states [of the federation] to canvass for votes, the president couldn’t spare five minutes to address the nation.
