Ganduje launches book on Governor, Deputy relationship in Nigeria

Kano State Governor Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has launched a book titled: ‘Deputizing and Governance in Nigeria’.

The book was launched at Nigeria Air Force (NAF) conference Centre, Abuja on Tuesday.

‘Deputizing and Governance in Nigeria’ chronicles the governor’s years of experience in the Nigeria project, the defining moments of his life in public service, as a two-term deputy governor and a governor who is serving second and last tenure in office.

The book, which was reviewed by former chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Prof Attahiru Jega, tells numerous experiences relating to Principal and Deputy Relationship in the Nigerian political system.

It also reflected the successful and evil times, the optimistic and the destructive relationships and their consequences for development, particularly on provision of dividends of democracy, in addition to reasonable options for a pleasant working relationship between the two key political leaders.

Present at the event were Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, former president Goodluck Jonathan, Governor Babagana zulum of Borno State, Vice presidential candidate of the APC, Kashim Shettima, Governor Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State.

Others were senators, ministers, Emir of Bichi Alhaji Nasiru Ado Bayero, who served as the royal father, Emir of Rano, Kabiru Inuwa, among others.
