Ganduje accepts resignation of 7 commisioners, rejects others

The Governor of Kano State, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has accepteed the resignation of seven of his commissioners and rejected three others.

The commissioners whose resignations were accepted are: Dr. Nasir Yusuf Gawuna (Agriculture & Natural Resources); Murtala Sule Garo (Local Govt and Chieftancy Affairs); Ibrahim Abubakar Karaye (Culture and Tourism); Mahmud Muhammad Santsi (Housing & Transport).

Others are Muntari Ishaq Yakasai (Special Duties); Musa Ilyasu Kwankwaso (Rural & Community Development); Kabiru Ado Lakwaya (Youth & Sports).

The Governor thanked them for their contributions towards the development of the state and wishedbthem well in all future endeavors. He also directed Permanent Secretaries of the affected ministries to take charge immediately.

However, the governor rejected the resignation of the Chief of Staff Ali Makoda as well as those of the commisioners for Education, Health, Budget and Planning, directing them to continue carrying out their duties in their respective ministries.
