The Vice-Chancellor, Federal University Dutse, Prof. Fatima Batul Mukhtar has won the 2020 StandTall Africa Initiative (STA) Hall of Fame Award in the academic category.
The award which was presented to her in Abuja attracted state governors, captains of industry and professionals across the country.
The Country Representative of StandTall Africa Initiative, Dr. Ogah Emmanuel said 382 people were nominated for the award across all the categories and 25 people were eventually picked adding that, the Vice-Chancellor emerged winner ofthe academic category.
The award had in attendance, Governors Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano State, Mal. Nasir El Rufa’i of Kaduna State and Samuel Otom of Benue State.
The award is organized by STAI in
collaboration with South African based Centre for African Leadership. STAI has offices in Nigeria, Ethiopia, Senegal and South Africa
