Fintiri swears in LG caretaker transition committee chairmen in Adamawa

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri on Thursday swore-in into office Local Government Caretaker Transition Committee Chairmen for the 21 Local Government Areas, at Mahmud Ribadu Square Yola, after expiry tenure of Local Government Council Chairmen in Adamawa State in December 2021.

Those appointed are:

MADAGALI LGA

  1. Chairman: Hon Abdullahi Doda
  2. Vice Chairman: Justin Patrick.

MICHIKA LGA

  1. Chairman: Danbiyu Paul Tumba
  2. Vice Chairman: Jesse Buba.

MUBI NORTH LGA

  1. Chairman: Mohammed Mams Garga.
  2. Vice Chairman: Hon Steven Dimas.

MUBI SOUTH LGA

  1. Chairman: Hon Adamu J. Dirbishi
  2. Vice Chairman: Hon Luka Wadili Filibus.

MAIHA LGA

  1. Chairman: Hon Abubakar Mustapha
  2. Vice Chairman: Dauda Abubakar Bungil.

HONG LGA

  1. Chairman: Hon Adamu Yerima Sa’ad
  2. Vice Chairman: Hyelangedari A. Dzarma.

GOMBI LGA

Fintiri congratulated the newly sworn-in Caretaker Transition Committee Chairmen and reassured them of Government commitment and support towards carrying out their duties and responsibilities in their various areas.

The governor stated that his Administration has changed the narratives of politics in the State and charged them to replicate the same at the Local Government levels for development to flourish in all the LGAs.

He admonished the Caretaker Transition Committee Chairmen to work with the party leaders, elders and carry all people along to strengthen the People’s Democratic Party PDP before the next Local Government Elections.

He assured that his Administration will continue to do its best to deploy infrastructure and other developmental projects at the Local Governments Level.

The governor called on party leaders and stakeholders to field in best candidates that will give PDP (party) victory in the forthcoming Local Government Council Elections coming in a few months.

The State Chairman of PDP, Barr A. T. Shehu urged the Caretaker Transition Committee Chairmen to have a collaborative partnership with the party and other Political Appointees for the betterment and benefit of the people.

Giving a vote of thanks on behalf of the Caretaker Transition Committee Chairmen, Prof Abubakar Abba Tahir, of Yola South assured the governor of their readiness for the challenges ahead and they are equal to the task and promised to be foot ambassadors of Governor Fintiri for sustainable human development at the grassroots and they will fasten their seatbelts to be the best set of Local Transition Council Chairmen in the State.

The Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice, Barrister Afraimu Jingi administered the oath of office and allegiance on the Caretaker Transition Committee Chairmen.
