The West African Examination Council (WAEC) exams will take place between August 4 and September 5, 2020, Minister of State for Education, Emeka Nwajiuba has said.
Speaking at the briefing of the Presidential Task Force on Covid-19, the minister also said National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) and National Examinations Council (NECO) exams will follow, dates to be announced.
WAEC had in April dismissed reports in the social media that it had cancelled the conduct of the WASSCE for School Candidates, 2020, as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic.
It also said the fee for the examination is N13,950 only and not N22,500. WAEC, adding that it only announced a postponement of the exam until normalcy is restored.
