The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University Dutse, Prof. Abdulkarim Sabo Mohammed has condoled with the people and government of Jigawa State over the death of Tijjani Ibrahim Kiyawa, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Senatorial candidate for Jigawa central in the 2023 general elections.
Gaya, a former House of Representatives member for Dutse/Kiyawa Federal Constituency, died Saturday after a brief illness in Abuja.
In a condolence message on behalf of the Governing Council, Management, Staff and Students of FUD, the VC said the university “will remain eternally grateful to late Hon. Kiyawa for his critical intervention in the university in its first five years which helped the university to take off without much hitches.
He prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive the deceased’s shortcoming and grant him aljanatu Firdausi.
“May Allah give his aged mother and the bereaved family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss. Amin,” the statement added.
