Former Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Prof Maurice Iwu has failed get the transfer of his N1.23bn fraud trial from Lagos to Abuja.
Justice Nicholas Oweibo of the Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos, on March 6, 2020, dismissed the application filed Iwu for lacking in merit.
Iwu, between December 2014 and March 27, 2015, allegedly aided the concealment of the money in the account of Bioresources Institute of Nigeria Limited with number 1018603119 domiciled in the United Bank for Africa, UBA.
