The Kaduna State Government has declared three days of mourning for the late Emir of Zazzau, Alhaji Shehu Idris.
This is contained in a statement by Muyiwa Adekeye, the media aide to Governor Nasir El-Rufai on Monday.
“Public offices will open as normal on 21 & 22 September 2020. There will be a public holiday on 23 September to enable citizens of Kaduna observe the third day Fidau prayers in his honour and memory. Flags will fly at half-mast during the mourning period,” the statement said.
Dr Shehu Idris died at the 44 Nigerian Army Reference Hospital Kaduna on Sunday after a brief illness.
