Emir of Zazzau Ambassador Ahmad Nuhu Bamalli has received former Emir of Kano Muhammadu Sanusi in his palace.
Sanusi who was decked in royal costume visited Emir Bamalli Wednesday morning in Zaria.
Palace sources inform Dateline Nigeria that the visit by Sanusi was to congratulate Emir Ahmad Nuhu Bamalli on his appointment and subsequent coronation.
Dateline Nigeria reports that Sanusi, who was absent at the coronation of Bamalli on Monday, November 9, is seen as a close ally of the emir and reportedly played a role in his emergence.
It would be recalled that a former Federal Permanent Secretary, Dr Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, had urged the former Kano emir to stay out of the Emir of Zazzau selection process.
Sanusi had allegedly addressed the kingmakers pleading with them to consider Bamalli, but the former emir has since denied this.
