Wife of Kaduna State Governor, Aisha Ummi Garba El-Rufai has expressed concern over the rape of a three-year-old girl in Kurmin Mashi area of Kaduna metropolis.
Dateline Nigeria reports that Kurmin Mashi has become notorious for cases of child rape with many recorded recently.
The governor’s wife, who has been working to address cases of gender-based violence, disclosed this on Monday night.
“What on earth is happening?!!! Another case of child rape at Kurmin Mashi! A 3-year-old girl this time around!
“After my condolence visit to the community a few days ago, I had escalated to the Governor who promptly tasked the Commissioner for HSSD Hajia Hafsat Baba, to come up with an action plan immediately to tackle the patterns in this community – but is seems these barbaric perpetrators are not ready to wait even an extra day to continue their perverted onslaughts on our children!
“We must all join hands to push harder and do much much much more for these crimes to stop!,” she said on her Facebook page.
