The immediate past Governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano, has been arrested by the operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, on his way to the United States of America (USA).
The ex-governor was arrested some few hours after handing over to Charles Soludo, who was sworn in as the new Anambra State Governor.
Spokesman for the EFCC Wilson Uwujaren confirmed Obiano’s arrest and promised to provide details later.
