After months of rumour, Ebonyi State Governor, David Umahi, has finally defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
With his defection, the APC now control two of the five states in the South East geopolitical zone. PDP also has two, while APGA has one.
Umahi had a week ago told the national leadership of the PDP that he would be signing for the APC. The governor is believed to be very close to President Muhammadu Buhari.
