Coronavirus patient dies after fleeing isolation centre in Kebbi

The second individual to test positive for coronavirus in Kebbi State has died in his house after fleeing from the isolation centre in the state.

The Kebbi State Commissioner of Health Alhaji Jaafaru Muhammed, who disclosed this at the weekend, added that the 60-year-old patient was also treating diabetes and high blood pressure.

He said the deceased fled the isolation centre on April 26.

The commissioner also disclosed that 12 people who have had contacts with the deceased have been identified and tested for Covid-19.

He further said that they were working hard to ensure that the disease did not spread in Kebbi State.
