Child rape: El-Rufai’s wife meets Kurmin Mashi community leaders

Wife of Kaduna State Governor, Aisha Ummi Garba El-Rufai, has met with Kurmin Mashi community leaders following her visit to the area on the raping to death of two little girls under the age of seven.

“I met with a delegation religious, traditional, youth and women leaders from the Kurmin Mashi community to discuss ways forward on the surging cases of rape and killings especially of little children in the community,” she said.

Present at the meeting were: District Head of Tudun Wada – Alh. Tahir Mahmud; Sarkin Kurmin Mashi – Mal. Ahmad Muhammad;
Sarkin Sabon Layi Kurmin Mashi – Alh. Rabo Muhammad; CAN Chairman – Pastor Chori; and Youth Leader Kaduna South LGA – Muhammad Sani Badikko.

Others are Pastor Ezra; Chief Imam Bus Stop – Mal. Yahaya Adamu; and fathers of the victims; Ya’u Muhammad and Ayuba Ya’u.

“The delegation stressed on the need for intensive investigations and execution of severe punishments of perpetrators when found guilty to serve as hinderance on others.

“I assured them of my commitment to do everything within my capacity to help in this fight.

“We have agreed on a date to spread into the community for sensitization and call for collective collaboration to protect our children and entire communities against these barbaric crimes,” she said.
