Buhari’s supporters want US varsity to fire me – Kperogi

United States based Nigerian university teacher Farooq Kperogi has confirmed that some supporters of President Muhammadu Buhari are writing petition in an effort to get him fired from the institution where he teaches.

Kperogi, a fierce critic of President Buhari, is an Associate Professor of Journalism and Emerging Media at the Kennesaw State University in the United States of America.

He confirmed the development via his twitter handle.

“I’m just becoming aware that hordes of headless online trolls of the Buhari regime are writing– or have written– an online petition to get me fired from my university. I didn’t realize I’m that much of a threat to Buhari’s decaying autocracy.

“But the stupidity of Buhari’s inept regime– and the idiotic minions it hires to troll critics– is truly boundless. These low-IQ twerps think America is Nigeria. I’m now even more energized than ever before to expose the fetid fraud that is this regime.”

Dateline Nigeria reports that Kperogi had come under fire from social media users who accused of sharing fake news, citing a post he made claiming that the Buhari administration had killed former National Security Adviser (NSA) retired Colonel Sambo Dasuki.

Kperogi however dismissed the allegation saying he had published a correction shortly after learning that the information, which he based on a Whatsapp audio clip, was false.
