President Muhammadu Buhari has presided over the National Security Council meeting at the Council Chambers, State House, Abuja.
The meeting on Tuesday was attended by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Ministers of Foreign Affairs Geoffrey Onyeama, Interior Rauf Aregbesola as well as heads of security agencies and organisations in the country including the National Security Adviser (NSA) Babagana Monguno.
Othets are service chiefs Major General LEO Irabor (Defence), Maj Gen Ibrahim Attahiru (Army), Air Vice Marshal Oladayo Amao (Air Force), Rear Admiral AZ Gambo (Navy), and Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mohammed Adamu.
Also present were Director General Department of State Services (DSS) Yusif Bichi, Director General National Intelligence Agency (NIA) Ahmed Rufai Abubakar, among others.
