The Kebbi State Emergency Management Agency has said that 10 women are feared drowned after a boat mishap in Jega local government area of the state.
The women were on their way to a ceremony from Gehuru village to a community on the other side of the river on Monday.
Head of the agency Alhaji Sani Dododo said four corpses have so far been recovered, while six others are being awaited.
Dododo said the search is still ongoing.
He blamed the mishap on the flood that submerged many communities in Kebbi State.
Only the driver of the wooden boat survived, the SEMA boss said.
