Bida poly: Rector promises more infrastructure as new students matriculate

Rector of the Federal Polytechnic Bida, Dr Abubakar Abdul Dzukogi, on Friday in Bida, Niger State promised to expand and maintain critical educational infrastructure in the institution.

Speaking at the matriculation ceremony for the newly admitted students, the Rector explained that the provision of relevant and critical infrastructure has become a major priority of his administration so as to drive intensive teaching and learning processes for national development.

He urged students to abide by the rules and regulations guiding the institution, adding that appropriate sanctions shall be meted to any student who run foul of any of the school rules as “ignorance of law is not an excuse”.

Dzukogi who congratulated the students for securing admission into the school, advised students to remain peaceful and work assiduously hard to attain greater heights in their academic activities.

Students and staff who witnessed the event commended the Rector for instituting a development plan that is actually working for the institution. They specifically praised him for creation of new departments, new faculties, new programs and even the introduction of degree programs in affiliation with reputable universities.
