BBNaija: Erica evicted for breaking ‘house rules’

...as fans set up GoFundMe account to raise $100, 000 for her

Big Brother Naija housemate Ngozi Nlewedim, aka Erica, has been disqualified from the reality TV show for breaking house rules.

On her rap sheet are bullying, provocation and engaging with the production crew. She had confronted housemate Laycon over claims she tried to kiss him.

And her continued flouting of house rules is thought to have sealed her ouster from the Big Brother House.

Erica, who was the Head of House (HOH), had earlier gotten two strikes for repeatedly breaking the house rules.

She has also become the first housemate to be disqualified from the ongoing reality show.

Big Brother also reiterated the rules of the reality show while addressing the housemates on Sunday evening.

He said, “BBNaija rule book clearly states in Article 18 sub-section 1 that other types of violence, including provocation, goading, bullying, and victimisation may be punished by Big Brother in any way Big Brother chooses.”

Meanwhile, Erica’s fans have raised more than $10,000 (£7,600) for her in less than 24 hours, hoping to meet a $100,000 target.

The fans set up a GoFundMe account to compensate their star for missing out on the cash prize of about $223,000, which many believe she was one of the favourites to win.

Fans have so far donated $14,336 and the amount is likely to increase.

She has also been promised a car by a Nigerian car dealer and $5,000 cash.
