Bandits have abducted about 60 women during a raid in villages on Tuesday in Zamfara State.
A lawmaker from the area said the women were kidnapped from the villages of Manawa, while two were killed in the villages of Madeley and Randa in Maru local government area of the state.
Hon. Shehu Ahmed S. Fulani told the BBC that many villages were also set ablaze by the bandits.
He said the bandits took the women away after their husbands escape during the attack.
