All is set for the wedding of Hanan, a daughter of President Muhammadu Buhari and Muhammad Turad, the son of a former House of Representatives member Sani Sha’aban at the presidential villa tomorrow Friday, September 4, 2020.
Hanan, whose real name is Aisha (named after her mother), and Muhammad Turad have been in a relationship for quite some time, Dateline Nigeria learnt.
“The event is going to be low-keyed because of the Covid-19 pandemic. Only few family members of the couple as well as associates of their parents will be at the wedding ceremony,” a source told Dateline Nigeria.
It was also learnt that the Emir of Zazzau, Dr Shehu Idris, slated to serve as father of the day, will be represented by a high-ranking title holder from the emirate, where Turad’s father holds the title of Danburam Zazzau.
“The emir will be represented as part of the move to ensure observance of the Covid-19 protocol. Many people will want to be where the emir is and he does not want that to happen,” a member of the Zazzau Emirate Council confirmed to Dateline.
Hanan is a graduate of Photography from Ravensbourne University in England, while Turad, a graduate in finance and management as well as holder of two masters degrees, is the Wakilin Tudun Wada, Sabon Gari Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Aisha Buhari and Turad’s mother, Munirat Marwa, are close friends and may have influenced the wedding between their children to cement their relationship.
