First Lady Aisha Buhari has condoled with the government and the people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia over the sudden demise of the country’s ambassador to Nigeria, Amb. Adnan Bostaji in the early hours of Tuesday in Abuja.

The envoy reportedly died in his sleep.

The president’s wife spoke in a condolence message posted on her Instagram page on Tuesday.

“It is with deep sense of sympathy, I condole with the government and the people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia over the sudden demise of their ambassador to Nigeria, Amb. Adnan Bostaji who died in his sleep in the early hours of this morning.

“I pray that Allah in his infinite mercies will grant his soul Aljanat Firdaus,” the first lady said.

Dateline Nigeria reports that the first lady hosted the late ambassador exactly one week ago.

She had posted pictures of the meeting saying, “Yesterday, I received the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Nigeria, His Excellency Adnan Bostaji, we discussed possible collaborations with my Future Assured Program, and some humanitarian activities being implemented by the Saudi government including how to take Almajiri children off the streets and how to sustain the 424 scholarships being awarded by the Saudi Government to Nigerian students yearly.”
