The Minister of Defence, Major General Bashir Magashi has assured that the students abducted from the Government Science Secondary School Kankara will be back within the next few hours without any collateral damage to the people of Katsina State.
The minister, who led a high powered delegation of all service chiefs on a sympathy visit to Governor Aminu Bello Masari, added that with the adequate intelligence gathered and unity of purpose among the security agencies, they have stratergised to rescue the students.
The minister’s assurance is coming about 48 hours after the students were abducted by gunmen. Masari confirmed that 333 students are yet to be accounted for out of the total of 839 population.
