Six members of Boko Haram/ISWAP have surrendered to troops of 192 battalion deployed along Gwoza-Limankara road in Borno State, Dateline Nigeria has learnt.
The surrendered terrorists claimed to have escaped from Jaje in Sambisa general area.
The suspects were led by one Salihu Abubakar, 42, who claimed to be their leader in the area.
Items recovered from the surrendered terrorists include four AK 47 rifles, four magazines and fourteen 7.62 MM special.
“They are in custody of 192 batallion undergoing preliminary investigation,” according to a communication to the Headquarters of 7Div in Borno State
